Missouri Governor Parson and Columbia Mayor Cut Ribbon at the NEW CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia

October 18, 2018, Columbia, MO:  At a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and Open House sponsored by the Columbia Chamber of Commerce for CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia, the Governor of Missouri, Michael Parson; the Director of the Missouri Department of Mental Health, Mark Stringer; the Mayor of  Columbia, Brian Treece and the Chief Executive Officer of CenterPointe Behavioral Health System, Buddy Turner commemorated the new, state-of-the-art 72-bed behavioral health hospital.

Over 300 providers, community leaders and visitors attended the open house and ribbon cutting for the new CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia.  Guided tours of the hospital were led by newly hired CenterPointe staff affording visitors an opportunity to learn about the behavioral health programs and services to be offered and to view the home-like environment, coupled with modern technology and safety features. Visitors also enjoyed a BBQ luncheon provided by DeAngelis Diamond builders, music by DJ Cosmo and gift bags for all provided by CenterPointe.

With the anticipated opening in a few weeks, CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia will offer inpatient and outpatient mental health and addiction treatment services for adults and adolescents.  The hospital will also bring 150 new jobs to the Columbia area.
