CenterPointe’s addiction treatment services simplify your recovery and put you on the path to a substance-free and healthy life. You’ll learn about addiction as a disease, the ways it affects your life and the life of your family, as well as the techniques necessary to maintain sobriety.
Our addiction treatment services include:
- Inpatient detoxification
- Outpatient treatment
- Medication-Assisted Treatment
Addiction to alcohol and other drugs is a chronic, progressive and sometimes fatal disease. It causes emotional, physical, financial, employment and social problems that can destroy relationships and ruin lives.
The good news about this disease is that addiction is treatable. With an opportunity to learn about the illness, develop coping skills and establish alternate behaviors, many individuals addicted to alcohol and other drugs can stop the progression of the disease, manage their addictions and live healthy lives.
We provide inpatient detoxification from alcohol, opiates and benzodiazepines. CenterPointe’s medically assisted detoxification is a process that allows the body to safely cleanse itself of toxins built up from drug and alcohol abuse while managing the symptoms of withdrawal. Detoxification is usually the first stepping-stone to a comfortable and safe addiction recovery.
If you do not require the structure of 24-hour care, you may be admitted to our outpatient program as your point of entry into treatment for substance sue.
Our outpatient treatment services allow you to stay at home or continue working while benefiting from a professional treatment program. The frequency and duration of outpatient services, along with the use of Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), are based on the amount of support you need. Medication-assisted detoxification and recovery for addiction to opioids (heroin and prescription pain medications) is prescribed by a physician.
Our Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets three days a week for three hours a session. CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia does not offer a residential addiction treatment program, but our sister hospital, Centerpointe Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri, does provide residential treatment. Call 800-345-5407 for more information about residential treatment services for addiction (a 4 week program) at CenterPointe Hospital in St. Charles, MO.
