We designed the admissions process at CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia to help you access timely support for the behavioral health and substance use concerns you are facing. Our Admissions Criteria
At CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia, we are dedicated to providing the communities surrounding Columbia, Missouri, with access to high-quality behavioral healthcare. As part of that commitment, we offer both inpatient and outpatient programming options that help our patients improve their overall quality of life.
Our inpatient programming serves children ages 8-12 and adolescents ages 13-17 who are struggling with various behavioral health concerns. This level of care also supports adults age 18 and older and seniors age 65 and older who have certain behavioral health and dual diagnosis concerns.
While we make all admissions decisions on a case-by-case basis, a person might be eligible to receive care through our inpatient programming if they meet the following criteria:
- Concerns are severely impacting the ability to function in daily life
- Concerns cannot be addressed at a lower level of care
- Need 24/7 support to achieve stability and regain a sense of safety
We also offer intensive outpatient programming (IOP) for those who meet the following criteria:
- Adolescent age 13-17 or adult age 18 or older
- Have a substance use disorder or behavioral health concern
- Capable of fully engaging in therapeutic programming
- Do not need the round-the-clock support of an inpatient program
Please note that this does not fully represent the admissions criteria at CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia. The best way to determine whether our hospital is the right place for you is to complete an initial assessment. This will allow us to determine the type and level of care that best fits your needs, along with whether our programming can help you meet your specific therapeutic goals.
