What Not to Bring

To ensure the safety of all patients during their stay at CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia, the following items are not permitted on the hospital unit:

  • No outside food/candy/gum
  • Electronical devices
  • Glass/Metal/Hard plastic objects or containers/Clothes Hangers
  • Aerosol Sprays/Flammable Liquids
  • CenterPointe is a non-smoking facility. Cigarettes, vapes, and other smoking devices are not allowed on the premise.
  • Guns/Knives/Weapons/Ammunition/ Scissors
  • Pornographic Materials
  • Cell phone/Pager (will be secured in locked area with limited access upon admission)
  • Recording Devices
  • Mind altering substances
  • Drug Paraphernalia
  • Personal hygiene products containing alcohol (including but not limited to: cologne, body spray, mouth wash)
  • Picture frames (however, picture without frame is permitted)
  • Rope/String/Yarn/Scarves/Belts
  • Plastic bags/Cellophane
  • Spiral/Wire binder notebooks
  • Hosiery
  • Nail polish/Files/Polish remover
  • Any items that may be used by a patient to harm themselves or others
  • No cash or valuable jewelry
