Outpatient Services

Outpatient psychiatric and dual diagnosis treatment (both substance use and mental health) is provided through intensive outpatient programs both in-person and virtually for patients who are experiencing moderately severe symptoms that do not require inpatient hospitalization. Patients appropriate for this outpatient levels of care demonstrate reliable medication compliance, the ability to maintain home, work or school commitments and have support from their home and other social environments. Patients who do not require the structure of 24-hour care may be admitted to an outpatient program as their point of entry for treatment or as a progression to a less restrictive level of care following a stay an inpatient acute unit or on a residential unit for addictions.Outpatient levels of care include Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), virtual Outpatient Programs (OP).Medication-assisted treatment for addiction to opioids is available at the discretion of the prescribing psychiatrist.Typical problems, symptoms, behaviors and/or diagnoses may include:

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP)

CenterPointe’s Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides 9 therapeutic hours broken up over 3 days each week during which many patient can continue with daily responsibilities.

Patients in this level of care have substantial family and environmental support in working toward continuing improvement and successful management of their disorders. CenterPointe offers intensive outpatient programs for adolescents and adults.

Virtual Outpatient Program (OP)

CenterPointe’s Virtual Outpatient Programs provides 6 therapeutic hours broken up between 2 days each week during which patients can continue with their daily responsibilities.

Virtual OP allows for individuals to receive the necessary mental health treatment, but from the comfort of their own home. Through a HIPAA compliant video chat platform, patients will participate in group therapy lead by a licensed clinicians. CenterPointe offers mental health and addiction virtual OP for adults and mental health virtual OP for adolescents.
