CenterPointe Behavioral Health System provides a full continuum of care for addiction treatment, the first step being detoxification.
Inpatient Detoxification
At Columbia, we provide detoxification from alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids. Our medically assisted detoxification is a process that allows the body to safely cleanse itself of toxins built up from drug and alcohol abuse, while managing the symptoms of withdrawal.
While detoxing, patients will be treated by a multidisciplinary team of health professionals including nurses, mental health technicians, physicians, psychiatrists, recreational therapists, social workers, and dieticians. Upon the completion of detox, patients will be referred to the next appropriate level of care.
Residential Treatment
CenterPointe Hospital of Columbia does not offer residential addiction treatment services, but our sister hospital, Centerpointe Hospital in St. Charles, Missouri, does provide residential treatment.
